The City has primarily relied upon industry standard pavement preservation and rehabilitation methods. While these proven and readily-available methods have worked well to preserve and repair pavement throughout the City, the City’s engineering department desires to investigate additional methods that could be used. The project’s objectives are to research performance and relative cost of:

· Fiber-reinforced asphalt
· Asphalt overlay fabrics
· Full-depth reclamation (with cement)
· High-density mineral bonds
· Microsurfacing
With each of these treatments, the study should focus on actual installations in areas subject to conditions similar to the Wasatch front (freeze/thaw, snow plowing, temperature extremes, etc.). It is preferred to have at least 3 different locations to research for each treatment.
Provide a technical report summarizing the findings of each treatment method location with regards to:
· Age of installation
· Cost per square foot
· Observed performance in resisting:
Cracking
Rutting
Oxidation
Delamination
Pictures of current condition at each location
